Momoclo Glossary – Momopedia

Not sure what are the terms used by Momoclo fans in Japan? Well, here’s a simple glossary of some of the more popular terms translated from the original Momopedia.

Member Names

Takagi Reni (高城れに)

  • Nickname: Renichan.
  •  Colour: Purple.
  • Ex-Leader.

Momota Kanako (百田夏菜子).

  • Nickname: Kanakou (The “kou” at the end should be going up)
  • Colour: Red
  • Leader

Ariyasu Momoka (有安杏果)

  • Nickname: Momoka
  • Colour: Green

Tamai Shiori (玉井詩織)

  • Nickname: Shiorin, Tamachan
  • Colour: Yellow

Sasaki Ayaka (佐々木彩夏)

  • Nickname: Aarin
  • Colour: Pink

Related Personnels

Kawakami Akira (川上アキラ)

  • Nickname: K Mane, Tengu-san.
  • Abbreviation: kwkm
  • Manager of Momoclo. Gets called as “Futoccho (Fat) no Manager” by the members in some variety programs.

Furuya Tomomi (古屋智美) *No actual pronunciation of the surname is given)

  • Nickname: Tomomin
  • Abbreviation: tmmn
  • Female Manager of Momoclo. Takes care of the costumes of the members. Manages the members’ blogs as well. In charge of their Ustream videos. Have the funny habit of oversleeping, loosing something, etc..

Terms

Kaijyou Oshi (会場推し):

  • Doesn’t buy tickets to their concerts but will be at the area to buy goods and hang out with other mononofus.

Kanakou Veda (カナコ・ベアダー)

  • Worn by Kanako in “Z Densetsu~ Owarinaki Kakumei”. Sprays out Carbon Dioxide. Can be seen in their Summer 2011 concert opening sequence.

Zaitaku (在宅)

  • Doesn’t take part in concert or events. Fans who supports momoclo from their house. Comments on the internet once an events ends. They do buy goods.

DD

  • Short form for “Dare demo Daisuki”. D（誰でも）D（大好き）Means a fan who loves every member. It is possible that he has one or two oshis in momoclo.

Hako Oshi (箱推し)

  • A fan who supports every member. Can be troublesome as they will have problem choosing their Momoclo goods.

Mononofu (モノノフ)

  • A hardcore fan of Momoclo. Actual meaning in dictionary: Warriors or Samurais. Used on 16 Nov 2010 during the sales day of “Pinky Jones”, fans cosplayed as samurais and warriors of the past. After the members saw it, they started calling the fans Mononofu.
  • An acceptable but mistaken way of writing: momonofu. (モモノフ). Can also be said as “MOMOiro clover NO FAN” (ももいろクローバーノファン)

Momotan (ももたん)

  • Peace Shaped, with the Katakana “KU”, and “RO” for the mouth. Designed by Kanakou’s mum. Used in “Z no Densetsu” where it holds the Carbob Dioxide bottle/ can.

Momorikobuta (ももりこぶた)

  • Momoclo’s Staffs and people in charge of the goods.

Words no Tebukuro (ワーズの手袋)

  • Used by Momoka in “Words of the Mind” where she will throw it to the fans in the middle of the song.
